Book Review Stranded by Lorena McCourtney

 Stranded (Ivy Malone Mysteries, #4)

From Goodreads:

Super sleuth Ivy Malone's inquisitiveness has gotten her into plenty of trouble, including murder, mayhem, and a place on a mini-Mafia hit list. Still on the run from the mob, Ivy ends up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest with a broken-down motor home, a young traveling companion running from a violent husband, and a stray cat. With no way to fix their vehicle, Ivy and her companion are invited to stay in an old Victorian house by a compassionate young woman attorney. But when Ivy discovers that the former resident was murdered and that the prime suspect happens to be Ivy's kind benefactor, she's on the case-digging up clues and getting into plenty of trouble along the way.

My Review:

Stranded (Ivy Malone Mysteries, #4)Stranded by Lorena McCourtney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another cute read in the Ivy Malone mystery series, Stranded takes us to the tiny town of Hello where local residents are blaming the murder of a prominent townsman on his niece. Of course she is one of the first people Ivy meets, and in true Ivy character, she gets involved in solving this murder.

Abilene is still with Ivy in this book as is Koop, the anti-smoking cat. Ivy and Abilene become stranded in Hello when their motor home breaks down and an engine is beyond their meager means. They settle down in none other than the house where the murder has taken place and begin a new adventure.

Abilene finds a job at the vet's office, while Ivy begins working in the Historical Society library. Of course, this leads Ivy right to the clues she needs to solve the mystery of the murder.

Twists and turns, musical reviews, movie star chickens, UFOs, quirky characters, carousel horses and a cozy setting make this another book worth reading!
